nofollow is an HTML attribute value used to instruct some search engines that a hyperlink should not influence the link target's ranking in the search engine's index. It is intended to reduce the effectiveness of certain types of search engine spam, thereby improving the quality of search engine results and preventing spamdexing from occurring.

dofollow and nofollow are the attributes which are added for search engine crawler. both are for building back links. nofollow attribute never lets crawler to explore the url you post in your discussion and therefor you never have a chance to build a backlink.
dofollow is opposite of nofollow and it let crawler to explore your links and therefore you have a chance to build back links.

There are several tools online that all you to do so. Right now I am using a firefox plugin which tells you whether a link is dofollow or nofollow. I will find the link for you to download the plug in and write a post here about it.
2. Yes if you write paid reviews through websites such as PPP then you will see your PR go down but I think if you do it privately with advertisers than Google won't find out.

A no-follow blog is something where the spiders does not crawl so its not taken into consideration as a backlink where as do-follow is just the opposite.

Nodofollow will never been a matter while we discussing about tactics as traffic generators.
But it will be counted while you are working for quality backlinks.

..
Good luck mate.

dofollow links are links indexed by google, nofollow however, passes no page rank and doesn't affect rankings.

A do follow link indicates that search engines will follow the link. It also indicates that your site is valuable. A no follow link does not involve passing of value.

Thumbs up 06-28-2010

I would never hate No follow cos it may not fetch you the link but still it will fetch you traffic.

Coming to great websites like Digital Point. are no follow. Still they can give you loads of traffic.

..
Good luck mate.
