For a kid's site, I would suggest using graphics and a lot of colors to make it seem friendly and for kids to enjoy visiting the site.

The site should be very colourful and should have Animation and sound effects.
Children want content that is entertaining, funny, colorful, and uses multimedia effects. However, for homepage design and navigation systems, the user interface should be unobtrusive and let kids get to the content as simply as possible. Children enjoy exploration and games, but it should not be a challenge to operate the website itself. The content should be cool, but the design must offer high usability or kids will go elsewhere.

Children love bright colors so the design of your webpage or whatever you want to build must be bright and attractive. Also, children love cartoons so it might be good to add some cartoon-type characters. Moreover, text is better to be playful and large. I hope these tips will help you.

Dear, it depends upon the nature of site whether it is related to children's health or children's online games.
